I am a doctoral student and graduate research & teaching assistant at the University of Illinois @ Urbana-Champaign in Educational Psychology. My research interests broadly focus on the cognitive and social processes involved in how people engage in, and experience, different informal learning environments. Particular topics of interest are those related to issues of civil rights & civic engagement (e.g., sustainable development goals). My current research projects explore the role of attitudes/beliefs and emotions in shaping how people “see” and experience institutional racism in Higher Education.
